Hearth Gate I Have A Hearth Fireplace. How Should I Protect My Child From The Edge Of It?

I have a hearth fireplace. How should I protect my child from the edge of it? - hearth gate

I have an original fireplace. It's like a semi-circle on the ground that goes from one side to the opposite wall to wall, and is about 2 feet tall or less. I have a 4 years old and a baby on the way, everyone knows what I can protect the edge of the lip. If you find it, or something, he cut open his head and I try to avoid that as long as they are young. I do not want to put a big ole door and all I see is the edge protection, but the protectors are square stacks. What can I use.

My mother was a heavy round of what your fireplace brass studded with spikes at the ends .... Duct tape wrapped around them ... It's ugly, but it works ... You can .... porous tube, hardware and Gaffa tape around ... Band, the band is very strong and used in crafts.

They sell foam "border" for this purpose - Safety 1st before (I think) - that are sold in hardware stores that sell child safety issues. You may have to cut back a little so that the curve goes - there are 2 or 3 bedrooms with corner guards. Since yours is a semi-circle, you can corner guards for other purposes (over the counter or tables, etc.), but with Peel & Stick adhesive tape and beautiful things. He finally do not cut corners slightly above the lower band (all the way to the front) every two inches longer be willing to bend the curve.
